About
Born in Providence, Rhode Island to Nigerian parents and raised on the streets of Lagos, Oluwasegun "SRGVN" Sangobanwo carries two worlds in everything he creates. His earliest musical education came not from Afrobeats but from the harmonies of Backstreet Boys, Westlife, and Boyz II Men — groups that taught him that a song's greatest power is its ability to make you feel something real.
Those instincts deepened as he absorbed the Lagos sounds around him — the emotional directness of 2Face, the effortless cool of Banky W, the melodic soul of Paul Play Dairo. With a background in engineering, that same analytical curiosity pulled him deep into music production and audio engineering, where he learned not just to write and perform, but to architect sound from the inside out.
The result is a catalog that is equal parts craft and confession. SRGVN writes about love, life, and relationships — not to impress, but to connect. Every song is a cultural bridge: the sensibility of a Yoruba boy from Lagos, rendered in a sound built for the world.
